How I Met Chubby
One day, I was laying on my back in the garden looking at the sky when a big round bee buzzed by. He was going up and down and it looked like his wings couldn't get enough power and he was finding it very hard to fly. It sounded as if he was running out of gas.
I followed him with my eyes as he landed on the only buttercup in the small patch of grass where I was relaxing. As the bee settled and started to eat, the flower began to bend closer to the ground until it and the bee were both upside down. I rolled over and studied this busy bee.
'Hello Chubby,' I said. He answered me back with a long contented buzz and then with great difficulty he took off, hovering up and down again as he tried to stay in the air.
'Well done!' I called out.
And as he flew away the buttercup sprang back up, golden in the warm afternoon sun.
About the Author
Children's author John Hazell was born a long time ago in London and now lives where the big blue stones of Stonehenge come from.
He shares his little farm with two sheepdogs called Woody and Tooley, two fat Shetland ponies called Peggy and Pudding, some old chickens and 82 sheep.
Illustrator James Adams has been friends with John Hazell for thirty-three years.
When he was eleven, he asked for a box of oil paints and some canvas for Christmas. This began his love of the arts. He shares his home with two cats, two dogs, three guinea pigs and a very old and very quiet budgerigar.

FEAR OF FLYING

Chubby, a young bumblebee, stands trembling before B. Major who has summoned him to the hive. The Major orders him to look out the window and see the vast world below. Chubby is enthralled, but quickly backs away from the window. Then the Major growls at him and pushes Chubby out the window. Chubby grabs the Major's ankle; they both are falling to the earth. Chubby still has no confidence in his ability to fly as he tumbles downward past many other flying creatures. Will they both crash or will Chubby find the wings to fly?
Beautiful illustrations are the backbone of this book. Readers will feel themselves immersed in the story and the perspective is amazing. This story is targeted for four to eight year olds who themselves are on the brink of developing positive self image and face the fear of the unknown in the process of discovering who they are. Makes a great read aloud for preschoolers and children in the early elementary grades. Parents can use it to build a child's self-esteem.

Chubby Learns to Fly- Quite Avery interesting ebook and I would think that the children from ages 4-8 will enjoy this a lot!

I thought it was all very intriguing and fascinating with the message and the brilliantly Illustrated pictures that I believe will really help attract their attention,yes? You do have one problem though you had said you could tap on the words right? And the letters would become larger,yes? Will I only found one page that seemed to fall under what you said would be true and that was not the page that I had clicked on but the page after that instead John!
Maybe if you do this ebook over again you may either make your point more clear or do something about it so one can enlarge the print on the same page that they tap the print,ok? Otherwise it was a magnificent children's ebook! By Angela L.

The author and illustrator really bring this book to life.

What a fantastic children's book.
We've all come across somebody like Major B i.e. somebody who comes over as a little bossy, but deep down has a heart of gold and only has your interests at heart. He is the type of person you learn the most from.
The story is great for children and the wonderful images really bring it to life. The images are an integral part of the story and obviously drawn by somebody with great talent, imagination and a good understanding of children as had the author.
I'm not really a fiction person as I don't have that much of an imagination, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed this and will definitely be reading with the kids.
